The 2016 Georgia PGA Pro-Pro Scramble was Evolve Golf’s first event outside of the Carolinas for 2016! We hit the road to visit our longtime customer, and host club, the beautiful Ansley Golf Club. Ansley was in fantastic condition for the event and the cold weather from the previous few days moved out just in time to greet the field with sunny skies. The 6th hole’s long and wide fairway invited players to give it their all off of the tee for the Evolve Golf Total Distance Challenge. A slight headwind added an interesting twist, but the PGA Professionals of the Georgia Section handled it easily. Patrick Richardson claimed third place with a drive of 292 yards that settled neatly 4 yards off the center line. Paddy Higgins claimed second place with a drive of 300 yards that was just 1 yard off center. Jacob Tilton brought the contest to a close with a monster drive of 328 yards that was also only one yard off center to claim Evolve Golf Total Distance Challenge win. A hearty congratulations goes out from the team at Evolve Golf to the winners of the Georgia PGA Pro-Pro Scramble Shawn Koch and Chris Cartwright. Thank you to the staff at Ansley Golf Club for hosting and to the Georgia PGA staff for presenting another great tournament.
