Mid-Atlantic PGA 2017 Senior-Junior Championship

The Evolve Team loaded up and headed up the 95 corridor to join the Middle Atlantic PGA, for the Senior-Junior Championship at Fawn Lake Country Club. The heavy rain from the night before saturated the course and with more rain in the forecast, players along with section staff were concerned about getting the round in. When the clock struck 11:00, players head to their assigned holes with rain gear in tote. Once players started the round the rain stopped and a gentle breeze began to dry the course out.
The par 4, 401 yard 10th hole at Fawn Lake Country Club, forced players to be accurate off the tee. The marsh and tall grass along the right side was a common area for players to miss. A tee shot left of the fairway had players flirting with the out of bounds stakes. The wet conditions made it tough for guys to get any roll out of their drives, but the Evolve Team measured some impressive ones. In the end every yard mattered especially between our 2nd and 3rd place finishers.
The third place finisher in our Total Driving Challenge was Bubby Pulley, from the Keswick Club, with an impressive drive of 290 yards and right in the middle of the fairway. Just beating him out for second place was Jonathan Schoenfeld, from Billy Casper Golf with a drive of 293 yards and in the center of the fairway as well. The clear winner of our Total Driving Challenge was Matt Tashenberg, from Kinloch Golf Club, with an outrageous drive of 315 yards and right in the middle of the fairway.
A big thank you to Drew Falvey, and his staff at Fawn Lake Country Club for hosting a phenomenal event. Evolve Golf would also like to thank Jon Guhl, Jeremy Greiner and the staff from the Middle-Atlantic PGA for all their hard work and continued partnership.
