News Summary

  • Evolve Golf – maker of the No. 1 performance golf tee on Tour – confirms that three of the top-10 finishers at last week’s Wachovia Championship relied on its patented Epoch tee.
  • A part of 100 major Tour wins — including 27 PGA Tour victories — since its 2004 debut, Epoch is the only performance tee with radius posts that span the width of a golf ball dimple. This unique feature creates the lowest coefficient of friction of any tee, eliminating deflection at impact and increasing ball speed and control off the tee.
  • The Epoch has been scientifically proven via a series of rigorous independent robotic tests combined with extensive player testing to provide improvements of up to 12 yards distance and 9 yards accuracy.
  • In addition to its performance advantages, Epoch – like all Evolve Golf products – is completely sustainable. Made entirely from recycled and renewable materials, the mower-friendly design lasts 10-times longer than a wooden tee.

  1. BJ Maloy says:

The Epoch is made from recycled materials and will degrade in UV light. The Epoch is far more durable longer than less sustainable wooden tees. It is common for a golfer to play an entire round with a single Epoch golf tee.
Billions of tees are used each year and sustainability just isn’t possible when tees are breaking so often because they’re made from wood, corn, bamboo, etc. The problem is that these so-called green methods of making tees results in increased tee usage and increased tee litter.
We think sustainability starts with durability.
