Evolve Golf headed down Interstate 95 to Bluffton, South Carolina , for the 2019 Carolinas PGA Pro-Official tournament.
The Evolve Golf Total Driving Challenge was held on the challenging Hole #1 of the East Course. A 415 yard Par 4 that had 3 reachable bunkers off the tee on both the right side and left side of the fairway as well as tree lines hugging the left side and right side. Players were challenged to hit straight tee shots down the middle which left them a challenging 150-180 yard shot into the green.
During this event, we had two separate Total Driving Challenge divisions.
Third place finish in the Total Driving Challenge for the PGA Professionals after ranking distance and accuracy went Frank Maynard (UNC Finley Golf Course) with a 286 yard drive and 2 feet from the center. 2nd Place went to Joe Gagliano (Wachesaw Plantation Club) with a 296 yard drive and 1 feet from the center. 1st Place went to Andrew Gerlach (Moss Creek Golf Club) with a 310 yard drive and 1 foot from the center. In third place for our Amateur division after ranking distance and accuracy went to Toby Leasure (Cardinal by Pete Dye), with a 236 yard drive, just 2 yards off of the center of the fairway. 2nd place went to Fred Finke (Seabrook Island GC) was a 243 yard drive, just off of center of the fairway. Coming in first of the Total Driving Challenge in this division with a 252 yard drive, just off of center of the fairway was Aaron York (UNC Finley GC) .
