2019 MAPGA Northern Chapter Spring Pro-Pro

Evolve Golf traveled out to Phoenix, Maryland for the 2019 Mid Atlantic Northern  Chapter Spring Pro-Pro Total Driving Challenge which was  hosted at Eagle Nest Country Club.
The Total Driving Challenge took place at the 9th hole, which was a 480 yard par 5 which was largely uphill. A steady 10mph wind blew in the competitors face all day making for tough conditions for the PGA Professionals. Two large bunkers flanked both sides of the fairway but a long straight drive gave players a chance to reach the green in two.
In a tie for third place in the TDC after ranking the distance and accuracy numbers went to Scott Shapin, of Old South CC with a 252-yard drive just 1 yard off center, and Daniel Bengtson of Cattail Creek with a 274 yard drive, 3 yards off of center.  Dirk Schultz of Beaver Creek CC, hit a 260-yard drive just 1 yard off center to finish in second place. First place in the Total Driving Challenge went to Garrette Brown of Eagle Nest CC with a 2878 bomb of the drive just off center of the fairway.
