Evolve Golf headed to Bluffton, South Carolina to 2019 Carolinas Players Championship to host its Total Driving Challenge. The event, hosted by Berkeley Hall Golf Club, on the North Course started with practice rounds Sunday afternoon followed by Evolve Golf’s Professional Drive, Chip and Putt ,Round 1 began on Monday, followed by the second round on Tuesday.
Evolve Golf set up its home for the 2 days on hole number 3, a 388-yard par 4. Hole number 3, may not be a long hole, however, with out of bounds to the left, water straight ahead and curve to the right it meant that accuracy was key. With ranging temperatures between from the mid to upper 60’s the only different between the two days was the wind.
Third place finish in the TDC after ranking the distance and accuracy numbers went to Matt Bova of the Country Club of Charleston with a 290-yard drive just 3 yards off center. Aaron Black of Springfield Golf Club, hit a 330-yard drive just 3 yards off center to finish in second place. First place in the Total Driving Challenge went to Holden Abrams of Jacksonville Country Club with a 348 bomb of the drive just 2 yards off the center of the fairway.
