2019 MAPGA Southern Chapter Spring Pro-Pro

Evolve Golf traveled out to Glen Allen, Virginia for the 2019 Mid Atlantic Southern Chapter Spring Pro-Pro Total Driving Challenge. A colder low 45-degree day with a stiff breeze throughout the day led to rough playing conditions for the players during the driving contest. Despite the colder weather there was fun being had none the less.
The 13th hole at Dominion Club was playing at 417 yards. With a large bunker down left, a straight drive paramount to give the PGA Professionals a good angle to attack the pin on their second shot.
Third place finish in the TDC after ranking the distance and accuracy numbers went to Gary Thouron with a 281-yard drive just 2 yards off center. Daniel Benick, hit a 280-yard drive just 1 yard off center to finish in second place. First place in the Total Driving Challenge went to Matthew Collins with a 293-yard bomb of the drive just off center of the fairway.
Evolve Golf would like to thank Paul Sargent, the Club Director of Golf and his staff at the Dominion Club for hosting the Spring Pro-Pro at their beautiful course.
A special thanks to the entire Mid Atlantic PGA section staff, especially Kurt Knapper and Bob Heintz.
Thank You to all the participants and congrats to the winners of the Total Driving Challenge.
