2018 Carolinas Pro-Assistant Championship

Evolve Golf drove down the road and headed to Wallace, North Carolina for the 2019 Carolinas Pro-Assistant Championship. A multiple day event which included evening events, as well as all golfing events. A day in the high 80’s left this double shot gun round with overcast skies for the morning shotgun and humid air for those playing in the afternoon round.
The 17th hole at River Landing was a long 550-yard par 5 which features a narrow fairway, with double sand traps and dogleg to the left leaving a view of the tree filled background. Only a slight breeze throughout the day led to no assistance for the PGA professionals in the Total Driving Challenge.
Third place finish in the TDC after ranking the distance and accuracy numbers went to Clark Rose of Walnut Creek Country Club with a 307-yard drive just 1 yard off center. Jack Fields of Charlotte Country Club hit a 311-yard drive just 1 yard off center as well to finish in second place. First place in the Total Driving Challenge went to Peter Skirpstas of Jacksonville Country Club with a 323-yard bomb of the drive into the center of the fairway.
Evolve Golf would like to thank the Carolinas PGA and their stuff for putting on a great three-day experience. We would also like to thank PGA Professional, Larry George, and the staff at River Landing for hosting the Pro-Assistant Championship at their beautiful course.
Thank You to all the participants and congrats to the winners of the Total Driving Challenge.
