2018 Southern California PGA Pro-Pro Scramble

Evolve Golf packed their bags and headed from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean for the 2018 EZ-GO Summer Meeting and Pro-Pro Scramble. The meeting was conducted at the Coronado Community Center and golf was held at the Coronado Golf Course just down the road. A day in the high 60s with overcast skies was a nice break from the summer heat of the Carolinas! The 18th hole at Coronado Golf Course is a reachable 493 yard par 5 that features a tight fairway and beautiful backdrop of the Glorietta Bay. PGA professionals had a helping wind behind their backs but still had to navigate their tee ball into the fairway for a chance to place in the Total Driving Challenge.
Third Place finish in the TDC after ranking the distance and accuracy numbers went to Nate Overcast of Lomas Santa Fe CC with a 292 yard drive just 3 yards off center. Nathan Williams of Plantation Golf Club hit 308 yard drive just 2 paces from the center to finish in second place. First place in the Total Driving Challenge went to Clay Madden of Vintage Club with a 324 yard bomb and one yard from our centerline.
Evolve Golf would like to thank the Southern California PGA and their staff for putting on such a great meeting and tournament. We would also like to thank Brian Smock and the staff at the Coronado Golf Course for hosting the Pro-Pro scramble at their beautiful course.
Thank You to all the participants and congrats to the winners of the Total Driving Challenge.
