Evolve Golf traveled towards Lake Erie and Northern Ohio PGA for this version of the TDC. It was held at the beautiful Portage CC in Akron, Ohio. The weather was hot and the wind was calm making for some ideal driving conditions. The 9th hole a 545 yard par 5 was the site of the Total Driving Challenge. A tough hole with OB left and trees right was made tougher with bunkers lining the fairway catching wayward drives. The player that could stand on the tee and hit a long drive down the middle was rewarded with a chance to reach the green in 2 and great score to finish their front nine!
In third place was Nick Colangelo of Shady Hollow CC with a booming 307 yard drive the longest of the day. He strayed only 3 yards off center as well! In second was Nathan Tarter of Firestone CC in the last group of the day. His ball traveled 302 yards and was only a yard off center. And finally our winner was Dustin Lieber of Eagle Creek GC. His 300 yard drive only was a yard off the centerline, a fantastic shot!
