Philadelphia PGA 2018 Spring Pro-Pro Championship

Evolve Golf was fortunate enough to be welcomed back to the Philadelphia PGA section for the fourth year in a row to conduct their total driving challenge. The Spring Pro-Pro Championship was hosted at Country Club of York. A beautiful sunny day in south central Pennsylvania paired perfectly with this classic Donald Ross designed course created a great day for competitors. The 2nd hole at CC of York was 528 yard par 5 with ample fairway for the players to hit into. PGA professionals hit into a slight breeze all day which demanded players to hit an accurate tee ball to have a chance to go for the green in 2.
There was a tie for second place in the TDC after ranking the distance and accuracy numbers against the field. Sam Ambrose from Aronimink Golf Club hit 284 yard drive just 7 paces from the center. Trevor Bensel from Overbrook Golf Club hit a 281 yard driver just 6 off of the middle which tied Sam. First place in the TDC went to Brett Melton of Radley Run Country Club with a 275 yard drive just 1 yard off.
Evolve Golf would like to thank the Philadelphia PGA and their staff for putting on such a great event. We would also like to thank Kevin Bales and the Country Club of York for hosting the Pro-Pro at their beautiful club.
Thank You to all the participants and congrats to the winners of the Total Driving Challenge.
