2018 Middle Atlantic PGA Central Chapter Spring Pro-Pro

Evolve Golf goes to Washington in this version of the Total Driving Challenge. Army Navy Country Club was the site for the MAPGA Central Chapter Spring Meeting and Pro-Pro. After business was taken care of and the weather warmed up players took to the course for the Pro-Pro.
The 4th hole on the white course was the site of the Total Driving Challenge. The 4th hole was an uphill Par 5 that was reachable for most of the field, especially as the hole played for most of the day downwind. To get to the green in two players had to avoid the large lake looming left 250 yards off the tee. A long and precise tee shot would set the players up to make a birdie or better!
There were several great drives as the players took advantage of the stiff downwind breeze and left sloping fairway. Bethesda Country Club had a very strong showing with 3 professionals in the top 4 of the field. Nathan Johnson of Bethesda CC took 3rd with a 265 yard drive dead in the middle of the fairway. He was beat by fellow Bethesda CC professional Matt Smith who drove it 288 yards and only 1 yard off center. The winner of this edition of the Total Driving Challenge came from the club just down Bradley Blvd as Andrew Francis of Congressional CC drove his ball 291 yards and only 1 yard off center.
Evolve Golf would like to thank Greg Scott and his entire staff for hosting a wonderful event. We also would like to thank Jon Guhl and the rest of the Middle Atlantic PGA Section for running another flawless event. We look forward to our continued partnership with the MAPGA and all their members.
