Evolve Golf was thrilled to be welcomed back as a presenting sponsor for the second year in a row at the Northern Texas PGA Pro-Assistant Championship. Gleneagles Country Club in Plano hosted this year’s 36 hole Four-Ball Stroke Play event. Evolve Golf conducted the Total Driving Challenge on the 16th hole of the Kings Course. This par 5, 537 yard hole was well guarded on both sides with 2 ponds and multiple oak trees. The hole played into the breeze the entire day so players had to tee it down and hit it hard if they wanted to place in the Total Driving Challenge. Competitors welcomed the mild 70 degree temperatures but had to battle the entire day against 15-20+ mph winds.
Reid Parrish of River Crest CC finished 3rd in the Total Driving Challenge with a 292 yard bomb just 4 paces from our centerline. Cheyenne Bauman from Northwood Club was our second place finisher with 254 yard drive directly in the center. Konner Malcolm from Bent Tree Country Club brought home first place in the TDC with a 281 yard drive just 3 yards off center.
Evolve Golf would like to thank the Northern Texas PGA staff and all they do to make these events run smoothly. Also a big thanks to Tim Brown and all his staff at Gleneagles Country on having the course in great shape even after all the rain in the area.
Thank You to all competitors and congratulations to this year’s winners of the TDC.
