2017 Michigan PGA Pro Assistant TDC Results

Evolve Golf was fortunate enough to be a title sponsor of the Michigan PGA Pro-Assistant Championship at the Grand Traverse Resort. Cool early September weather coupled with on and off thunderstorms created difficult and wet conditions for the competitors. Evolve Golf hosted our second total distance challenge on the first hole of “The Bear” course at Grand Traverse Resort. The Par 4, 1st hole played 393 yards from the black tees, and required a forced carry over a pond as well as the Jack Nickalaus’ signature rolling mounds on the right side of the hole.
First place in the Total Driving Challenge went to Kevin Muir of The Wyndgate with a 272 yard drive just 1 yard off the center line. Kyle Martin finished in second place of the TDC with a 276 yard drive, 3 yards from the center line. Kevin Stires from Pine Lake CC came in third place with a 267 yard drive, 5 yards from the center.
Evolve Golf would like to thank Mark Hill, PGA and all his staff at the Grand Traverse Resort for hosting a top notch event. Special thanks goes out the Michigan PGA staff for allowing Evolve Golf to come support such a great PGA section!
