2017 Georgia PGA Pro Pro Scramble

The Georgia PGA picked a beautiful day for the Pro Pro Scramble at Rivermont Country Club. After cold temperatures the previous week everyone was excited to get out on day with 80 degree highs, and a clear sky. Evolve Golf was set up on the 404 yard, Par 4, 18th hole for our Total Driving Challenge. The straight away hole with bunkers on the right hand side of the landing area was a great setting for our contest.
We measured a lot of great drives, and had a very tight race for a winner. Our third place finisher, Paddy Higgins, had a drive of 295 yards, and only 3 yards off the center of the fairway. In second place Jake Keen measured in at 288 yards, and dead center of the fairway. The winner of the Evolve Golf Total Distance Challenge is Aaron Elrod with a drive of 295 yards, and right down the middle. Congratulations to our top 3 finishers, and winners of the event.
Many thanks to Rivermont Country Club, and their staff for the hospitality. The course was in beautiful condition, and Georgia PGA Section put on another great event. We are looking forward to doing it again at the Pro-Pro later this year!
