2016 Illinois PGA Pro-Pro Championship

2016-il-pga-pro-pro-tdcSlightly overcast 80 degree weather presented an inviting setup for the 2016 Illinois PGA Pro-Pro Championship, hosted at the beautiful Bull Valley Golf Club. A 1 p.m. shotgun kicked off the four ball stroke play tournament. The staggering landscape and ideal weather held promise for a great day of golf! Evolve Golf set up The Total Distance Challenge on hole 17, which happens to be the course’s longest par 5 and notably named “The Three Shotter”, a 558 yard 5 par hole. The par 5 featured out of bounds tight to the left and rolling hills to the right. Early afternoon wind gusts nds encouraged the players to aim straight and far down the center line.
Timothy Staples from Old Elm Club captured 3rd place with a 295 yard drive that was 1 yard off the center line. Kyle English from Crestwicke Country Club comes in second with a 323 yard drive that was 3 yards off the center line. Finally, reigning in the 1st place spot, Brian Psenicnik from Twin Orchard Country Club had a 308 yard drive that was 1 yard off the centerline.
Evolve Golf would like to thank the Illinois PGA section staff for organizing a wonderful event. A special thank you to Michael Picciano and his staff who were gracious hosts at the gorgeous Bull Valley Golf Club.
Thank you to all the competitors and congratulations to the winners of this year’s TDC.
